Founded on December 17, 2024, The Veteran’s Veteran is more than just a nonprofit—it’s a mission, a movement, and a lifeline for those who’ve served our nation. Created by Marvin, a Disabled Gay Black Veteran, this organization is deeply rooted in lived experience, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to empowering Veterans.

Marvin’s journey through the complexities of the VA system inspired the creation of The Veteran’s Veteran. Having faced the frustration and isolation that many Veterans feel when navigating this process, Marvin envisioned an organization that would remove these barriers and provide Veterans with the guidance, encouragement, and advocacy they deserve.

At The Veteran’s Veteran, our mission is to ensure that no Veteran faces their journey alone. We are proud to offer all our services at absolutely ZERO cost to Veterans, reflecting our belief that financial burdens should never stand in the way of the help they need.

Operating entirely through the generosity of fundraising efforts, individual donations, and future grants, The Veteran’s Veteran is built on a foundation of community support and collaboration. Every dollar raised fuels our ability to mentor Veterans, educate them about their rights, and advocate on their behalf.

Marvin is a proud Veteran who has dedicated his post-service life to advocating for and empowering fellow Veterans. Happily married to his loving husband and a devoted father to their amazing child, Marvin finds strength and purpose in his family every day.

His personal journey navigating the challenges of military service and the VA system fueled his passion for helping others overcome the barriers they face. This commitment led him to establish The Veteran’s Veteran, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free guidance and resources to help Veterans secure the benefits they deserve.

Driven by an immense desire to ensure no Veteran is left behind, Marvin remains steadfast in his mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who served our nation.

I wholeheartedly believe that giving back to our community is one of the most powerful ways to create a better tomorrow. By extending a helping hand, we become the catalyst for positive change. With this belief in mind, I proudly joined The Veteran’s Veteran.

The moment Marvin shared his vision for TVV, I was inspired. As someone with family and friends who have served, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges Veterans face, both during and after their service. Their sacrifices are immeasurable, yet the systems meant to support them often fall short, making it frustrating and disheartening to access the benefits they deserve.

TVV’s mission resonates deeply with me because it provides a much-needed, accessible path for Veterans to receive the assistance and care they’ve always earned. No Veteran who has given so much for our country should have to endure an endless maze of obstacles just to receive help. My hope is that through TVV, we can simplify this process, allowing Veterans to focus on what truly matters—healing, growth, and their futures—without the unnecessary stress and struggle.
